Welcome to Fieldnotes!

We are excited to welcome you to this new space on our website. Fieldnotes was created to encourage students to share their experiences with anthropology outside academic bounds. You can expect to read short articles about what the discipline means to students and alumni of anthropology, as well as their experiences with conducting fieldwork. You might even hear from our very own SCAJ members, or from our beloved professors.

We encourage creative freedom in writing these pieces; as long as they adhere to the categories described in the guidelines, their form and style are for you - the author - to decide upon.

Want to be one of the first contributors to Fieldnotes? Submissions are now open! Check out the guidelines and submit your article today!
